When we think about motivation we think about getting a reward. In the video we watched it showed that people had to do task. The harder the task was the more money they would get. The easier it was the less money they would get. The results showed that the challenges that got paid a lot they did worse than the challenges for less money. Motivation doesn't always come from money. People are motivated because they want to do what they are doing. For example if someone plays sports they don't play for money they do it simply because they like to do and its fun for them. People are also motivated to do it because they want to get better for themselves.
Nelson Mandela believed in equal rights for all races. He was motivated to let everyone have equality. Even if that meant going to jail for 27 years. He still fought and protested. He never gave up and he kept trying. Eventually he became president, and he accomplished what he wanted to do because of his motivation.
